Saudi Falcons Exhibition Ends After Turning Malham into a Global Falconry Hub

Falconry, heritage, and international commerce took center stage at the International Saudi Falcons and Hunting Exhibition 2026, which wrapped up in Malham, north of Riyadh, after attracting more than 764,000 visitors over 10 days.

A Global Gathering for Falconry

Organized by the National Center for Falcons, the exhibition brought together more than 1,446 exhibitors and brands from 47 countries, alongside 44 government entities, reflecting the event’s broad international reach and its pivotal role in connecting Saudi Arabia’s falconry traditions with a diverse range of industries and cultural experiences.

Beyond its international reach, the exhibition offered visitors an exclusive opportunity to explore the traditions and cultural practices surrounding falconry and hunting.

Through a seamless mix of heritage displays, educational activities, and outdoor experiences, the program brought together falconers, enthusiasts, investors, local and international companies, and the general public.

Folkloric and military performances enriched the program, while dedicated spaces showcased handicrafts and traditional arts. Discussion sessions explored history, poetry, and heritage, complemented by specialized workshops covering taxidermy, traditional crafts, adventure activities, and vehicle preparation and safety.

A First-of-Its-Kind Weapons Showcase

As for the exhibition’s commercial dimension, it was vividly evident in its hunting weapons, ammunition, and accessories area, described as the first of its kind in the Kingdom.

The section showcased more than 5,000 products from over 181 international brands, spanning hunting and shooting firearms, air guns, ammunition, and related accessories.

It also featured equipment for safety, storage, maintenance, and training, reflecting the range of specialized products available to hunting enthusiasts and industry professionals.

How Is Saudi Arabia Expanding Its Falconry Reach?

The National Center for Falcons has also sought to strengthen the Kingdom’s international standing in falconry through specialized events.

In August, it organized the inaugural International Falcon Breeders Auction in Malham, north of Riyadh, bringing together leading breeders and enthusiasts from around the world.

Held from August 5 to 25, the auction sought to establish a premier international platform for elite captive-bred falcons, complementing the exhibition’s broader gathering of falconry enthusiasts, businesses, and industry participants.

The auction served as a vibrant showcase that celebrates every facet of falconry. Dedicated pavilions brought together local and international falcon farms, alongside exhibitors specializing in equipment and supplies, and the innovative “Falconer of the Future” pavilion.

Looking ahead, the National Center for Falcons has begun preparations for the 2027 edition, aiming to build on this year’s event by further developing its offerings and improving the experience for visitors, exhibitors, and participants.
