Saudi F-15 SA Crashes at King Abdulaziz Air Base

The Ministry of Defense announced today that one of the Saudi royal air force fighter jets ( F-15 SA) crashed and its crew was martyred (may their souls rest in Peace.)

The spokesmen of the Ministry of Defense Colonel Turki Al-Malki said that the crash happened at 12:50 p.m. on December 7, 2023 during a routine training mission at King Abdulaziz Air Base in Dhahran.

Al-Malki explained that an investigation committee started investigating to know the reasons behind the accident, which resulted in the martyrdom of the  aircrew. Finally, he prayed for the martyrs and their families.

Jazan Ship

The inauguration of HMS Jazan Ship marks a significant milestone in enhancing Saudi Arabia’s defense capabilities. This ship, the fourth in the “Sarawat” project, represents a leap in the Kingdom’s maritime power.

Its construction and testing on Saudi soil demonstrate the nation’s growing self-reliance in defense technology. The event, led by Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman, underscores the commitment to bolstering naval forces and ensuring regional security.

The “Sarawat” project is a cornerstone in Saudi Arabia’s naval modernization. It also aims to bolster the naval fleet with advanced vessels, enhancing maritime security capabilities.

The project, significantly, reflects the Kingdom’s strategic vision to develop a strong, technologically advanced navy, capable of protecting its waters and interests.

Ceremony Highlights and Key Attendees

The ceremony at King Faisal Naval Base was a prestigious event, attended by military and civilian dignitaries. Key figures also included Lieutenant General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili and Lieutenant General Fahd Al-Ghafili. The event also featured the hoisting of the Saudi flag on HMS Jazan. This symbolizes its readiness to serve in the Saudi Navy.
