Saudi Entertainment Projects: New Era of Leisure in Asir with ‘Seven’ Entertainment Destination
His Royal Highness Prince Turki bin Talal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Asir and the Chairman of the Asir Development Authority, has officially sponsored the announcement of the construction of the fifth entertainment destination of Saudi Entertainment Projects (SEP) “Seven”. Owned by the Public Investment Fund, this marks the first such project in the Asir region, with an investment value of 1.3 billion SAR.
Revolutionizing Entertainment in Saudi Arabia
The announcement took place during a workshop on e-commerce regulation in the Libyan market. It was organized by Libya’s Trade Network under the ministry. The SEP “Seven” project, near Abha International Airport, spans 64,000 square meters with over 79,000 square meters of built-up area. It is poised to significantly contribute to the local GDP, with projections of attracting over 5 million visitors by 2030. It also aims to create hundreds of job opportunities.
The Ambitious Project of ‘Seven’
Abdullah bin Nasser Al Dawood, Chairman of SEP, highlighted that the ‘Seven’ entertainment destination in Abha represents an ambitious project. It reflects the combined efforts to bolster the entertainment sector across the Kingdom. It is also aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030. The destination will contribute more than 4 billion SAR to the region’s GDP. It aims to offer unique and diverse entertainment experiences for residents and visitors of all age groups.
A Blend of Heritage and Modern Entertainment
The architectural designs of the ‘Seven’ destination are inspired by Asir’s unique cultural heritage, blending seamlessly with the region’s natural beauty and distinctive castles. The destination will feature eight unique entertainment zones, including a family entertainment center with thrilling train rides. It will also include an arcade zone, and virtual reality experiences. It will also house the Discovery Adventures area, developed in collaboration with Warner Bros, providing educational and exciting adventures.
Saudi Entertainment Projects: Innovative Leisure Experiences
The ‘Seven’ destination will also include a PLAY-DOH area designed to stimulate children’s imagination through educational experiences, and an indoor golf adventure with 12 holes incorporating the latest technologies. Set to open in the second half of 2025, it will also feature a multipurpose hall for live shows and events, an indoor electric go-kart track with multi-level tracks, a 10-lane bowling alley, and an AMC cinema with 10 diverse screens. The entertainment areas will include a variety of restaurants, cafes, and retail stores, offering visitors a new and unique entertainment experience catering to different tastes.
The ‘Seven’ project in Abha is a testament to Saudi Arabia’s commitment to developing its entertainment industry. It is a part of Saudi Arabi 2030 Vision. It represents a significant step towards making Asir a year-round global destination, enriching the lives of residents and visitors alike.
