Saudi-Egyptian coordination to achieve ambitions in the region

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan and his Egyptian counterpart, Sameh Shoukry, announced on Monday the existence of a full and complete coordination between the two countries to confront foreign ambitions in the region’s wealth and confront regional interference.
In a joint press conference between the two ministers after their talks in Cairo today, Egyptian Foreign Minister, Sameh Shoukry, confirmed that there is complete coordination between the two countries in all issues of concern to the region and its crises, including the Libyan file and facing the Corona pandemic.
He added that the visions are compatible between the two brotherly countries in order to solve Issues and crises politically and excluding any external interference.
Sameh Shoukry said that the discussions with the Saudi minister addressed ways of bilateral cooperation between the two countries, joint coordination to confront external challenges and interventions in the region, and to prevent infiltration of terrorist elements that threaten Egyptian, Arab and African national security.
He stated that the focus was on the Libyan issue and extensive consultations with the Arab brothers , noting the Egyptian stance and seeking to resolve the crisis politically, and affirming that the Egyptian position seeks peace in Libya, a ceasefire, and this was achieved after the position expressed by the President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on June 20, the Cairo Declaration.
Shukri said that the international community has put in place mechanisms for a peaceful solution, but there is no actual implementation of them on the ground.
He added that Egypt seeks all issues for political solutions but has suffered due to terrorism coming from Libya, and therefore it will defend its interests, security, and Arab interests.
Saudi Foreign Minister, stated that he conveyed the greetings of the Saudi monarch to President Al-Sisi, and that the Saudi leadership instructions was clear , which are full and complete coordination with Egypt to confront threats and solve Arab problems by activating the joint Arab action system.
