Saudi Deputy Health Minister in Bilateral Talks at UNGA in New York
The Saudi Health Deputy Minister, Eng. Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih, held a number of bilateral meetings during his participation in the meetings of the 79th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
Al-Rumaih met esteemed dignitaries including the Indonesian Minister of Health, Dr. Budi Gunadi Sadikin, the Minister of Health of the Republic of Latvia, Hussam Abu Marei, and the Nigerian Minister of Health, Professor Muhammad Ali.
Moreover, these meetings involved cordial dialogues, the exchange of perspectives on mutual health concerns, and strategies to bolster international initiatives and knowledge sharing.
A notable event titled “The Road from New York to Jeddah,” jointly organized by the Saudi and British Health Ministries, convened Deputy Health Minister Abdulaziz Al-Rumaih.
Focused on antimicrobial resistance, the forum showcased Saudi Arabia’s leadership in global health and advocated for sustainable solutions.

Al-Rumaih was accompanied by Dr. Abdullah Al-Quwaizani, the CEO of the Public Health Authority “Weqaya,” and Mr. Rakan bin Khalid bin Dehaish, the Assistant Deputy Minister of Health, at a side event hosted by the World Economic Forum.
