Saudi Culture Ministry organizes Asiri Khotwa Festival in Abha next November

Saudi Ministry of Culture recently announced the organization of the Asiri Khotwa Festival in the city of Abha from November 27 to December 1, 2022.

The music, performing arts, and fashion sectors are participating in the festival, to shed light on the Asiri Khotwa that generations have inherited for many years.

The festival includes 4 main areas, starting with the “opening operetta” with the rhythm of the southern step, containing 20 different melodies, then the “Asiri Khotwa exhibition” area.

The training area includes a stage between 100 and 200 meters, with a background that is a screen for people performing the step accurately.

The third area, “music and cooking”, consists of 3 main components: restaurants and cafes, folk instrument players, bands performing the step, and models of folk musical instruments.

This event comes within the cultural events that the Ministry of Culture has been organizing intending to shed light on the various creative and popular cultural fields that have been associated with Saudi society.
