Saudi Crown Prince, Lebanon’s PM Meet in Makkah

The Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister, Mohammed bin Salman, on Sunday received the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Nawaf Salam, at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

During their meeting, the two leaders exchanged Eid Al-Fitr greetings and cordial conversations. They also reviewed the relations between Saudi Arabia and Lebanon.

Furthermore, both leaders discussed the latest developments in Lebanon and the region as well as the efforts made to address them.

The meeting saw the attendance of several senior officials, including Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense, Prince Khalid bin Salman; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Prince Faisal bin Farhan; Minister of State, Cabinet Member and National Security Advisor, Musaed Al-Aiban; and Secretary to the Crown Prince, Bandar Al-Rasheed.

The Lebanese Prime Minister arrived in Jeddah early on Sunday, in his first visit to the Kingdom since he assumed office. Upon his arrival, Salam was warmly received at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Makkah Region Deputy Governor, Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz, and other senior officials.

Moreover, Salam performed Eid Al-Fitr prayers alongside Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman at the Grand Mosque of Makkah. After his meeting with the Saudi Crown Prince, the Lebanese Prime Minister left Jeddah.
