Saudi Crown Prince, Kuwaiti counterpart meets to boost bilateral cooperation

His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister made a phone call today, to his brother, His Highness Sheikh Mishaal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of the sisterly State of Kuwait.

During the call, they reviewed the fraternal relations between the two brotherly countries, aspects of bilateral cooperation, and ways to enhance it in various fields.

Despite the challenges that have afflicted the region and the world over the years, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, the two brotherly countries, were highly aware of the importance of preserving the bonds of brotherhood that unite them at the governmental and popular levels.

To face these challenges under the shadow of two wise leaders of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the State of Kuwait and as part of a common consensus on the fate of brotherhood in its comprehensive concept among the countries of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf.

The cooperation of the two countries in completing the agreement attached to the partition agreement and the submerged zone agreement to resume oil production from joint fields is a pioneering model of integration and cooperation between the two countries in all files.

The Saudi Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud – may God protect him – documented the spirit of cooperation more closely with the brothers in the State of Kuwait, when the Council of Ministers, in its session held under his chairmanship – may God support him – in the month of Dhul Qi’dah 1439 AH approved the minutes of the establishment of the Saudi-Kuwaiti Coordination Council.

Then the minutes were signed 24 hours after it was approved in a meeting that took place in the State of Kuwait between His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Adel Al-Jubeir, and the Kuwaiti Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, in order to support the intensive bilateral work between the two countries, and to enhance joint teamwork.

And every time, the strength of the relations between the Kingdom and Kuwait shows its consolidation amid the events that ravaged the Arab Gulf region.

Because of this, the two countries added a new strategic dimension to the concept of their bilateral relations, which resulted in the goal of standing together against those who begged to harm the sovereignty of their lands or the interests of their peoples, and to distance the region from the specter of international conflicts.
