Saudi Crown Prince discusses cooperation with Italian PM

HRH Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, reviewed with Italian Prime Minister Georgia Meloni the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Italy, and opportunities for cooperation between the two countries.

This came during a phone call by the Saudi Crown Prince to the Italian Prime Minister on Tuesday. They reviewed the bilateral relations between the Kingdom and Italy and discussed opportunities for cooperation between the two countries and ways to develop them in these areas, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Italy have close and distinguished relations. The earliest interaction between the two countries dates back to 1932.

His Majesty King Faisal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, may God have mercy on him, had visited Italy when he was Minister of Foreign Affairs in the previous year to establish relations between the two countries and met King Vittorio Emanuele III of Italy, who bestowed upon King Faisal a decoration of the rank of high at high.

Since that period, the march of political relations and dialogue between the leaderships of the two friendly countries has continued at the highest levels through mutual visits and meetings between officials of the two countries to strengthen relations in all fields.
