Saudi Crown Prince, French President Discuss Bilateral Relations

Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and French President Emmanuel Macron discussed bilateral relations in a phone call on Wednesday. According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Crown Prince and the French President exchanged congratulations on signing an agreement between Saudia Group and Airbus to purchase 105 aircraft.

The announcement of Airbus deal came during the first day of the Future Aviation Forum 2024, held from May 20-22, 2024 at King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh. Saudia Group will buy A320neo and A321neo models, to be distributed between Saudia and flyadeal.

During the phone call, the Saudi Crown Prince and Macron discussed bilateral relations, ways to enhance cooperation between both countries in various fields, and topics of common interest.

The leaders exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues. At the forefront of these issues came the latest developments in Gaza, the urgent need to intensify international efforts and communications to reach an immediate ceasefire to end the war and stop all forms of escalation, and work to deliver sufficient humanitarian aid.
