Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman sent a message of congratulations on Wednesday to Navin Ramgoolam, who became prime minister of Mauritius this month.
The prince extended “his sincere congratulations and best wishes” to the prime minister, expressing his hopes for “the friendly people of the Republic of Mauritius to achieve further progress and prosperity,” according to the Saudi Press Agency.
Ramgoolam was sworn in as prime minister a week ago, following his coalition’s victory in the general election. The 77-year-old veteran politician is now serving his fourth term in office, having previously held the position from 1995 to 2000 and for two consecutive terms from 2005 to 2014.
