In a remarkable achievement, Riyadh won the bid to host World Expo 2030. Riyadh defeated contenders like South Korea and Italy in November 2023 and emerged as the winner to host the prestigious event, after being selected by the BIE member states, with a majority of 119 out of 165 votes.
Saudi Arabia will host World Expo 2030 under the theme “The Era of Change: Together for a Foresighted Tomorrow,” from 1 October 2030 to 31 March 2031.
This theme reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to make Expo 2030 a global platform that accelerates progress towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
To harness science and innovation for better future for all, Riyadh will cooperate with the international community under three inclusive sub-themes: A Different Tomorrow, Climate Action, and Prosperity for All.
