Saudi Arabia voiced regret over the damage inflicted on Qatar’s embassy in Kyiv during a Russian strike, according to Arab News.
Qatar reported that its embassy in the Ukrainian capital was damaged during Russian attacks overnight, though all staff remained unharmed.
In a statement posted on X, Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Ministry said the Kingdom “expresses its profound regret over the damage sustained by the embassy building of the fraternal State of Qatar as a result of shelling in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv.”
The statement added that Saudi Arabia “reaffirms its support for diplomatic efforts to resolve the Russian-Ukrainian crisis through peaceful means.”
The ministry further underscored the significance of protecting diplomatic missions and their premises, in line with the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
