Saudi Arabia Unveils AI ‘SUSTAIN’ Platform at Davos 2026 to Boost Sustainable Development

The Saudi Ministry of Economy and Planning revealed plans to introduce the beta version of the SUSTAIN Platform in 2026, with officials making this landmark announcement during a discussion at the Saudi House in Davos at the World Economic Forum (WEF).

The SUSTAIN Platform is an AI-powered matchmaking network designed to promote collaboration across various sectors. Developed in collaboration with the World Economic Forum and Bain & Company, the platform aims to help government agencies, businesses, investors, academic institutions, and civil society identify reliable partners and create trusted coalitions.

“The SUSTAIN Platform transforms the Kingdom’s mandate for public and private sector coordination into a functional national tool,” stated the press release from the ministry. This tool helps stakeholders move initiatives from planning to implementation more efficiently.

Saudi House at Davos 2026

Saudi Arabia is taking part in the WEF Annual Meeting 2026 in Davos, Switzerland, through the “Saudi House” pavilion initiative, running from January 19 to 23. This year’s program is expanded and represents the largest offering since the initiative’s inception.

At Saudi House, the dialogue sessions will encompass 10 WEF-accredited sessions, addressing crucial topics such as the creation of sustainable cities for the future and the advancement of the travel, tourism, and human capital sectors. Additionally, the discussions will focus on mechanisms to combat drought, generate investment opportunities within the Kingdom, utilize data effectively, advancements in capital markets, and address concerns related to population aging, productivity, and the ethical implications of artificial intelligence.

Marking a first at Davos, Saudi Arabia’s pavilion initiative will unveil the “NextOn” dialogue series, which includes more than 12 sessions led by a distinguished group of experts and thought leaders from around the world. This series will focus on discussing emerging technologies and future-oriented perspectives across multiple sectors.

Investment and Strategic Partnerships

“Invest Saudi” is hosting specialized investment events as part of the Saudi House platform during Davos 2026. These events aim to engage with global investors, showcase the Kingdom’s investment climate, and position Saudi Arabia as a global hub for business and investment.

Achieving this aim involves presenting competitive advantages and investment prospects in priority sectors while cultivating strategic partnerships with international organizations. This initiative is part of a sustained effort to reinforce the Kingdom’s role in global economic forums and attract high-quality investments, thereby supporting the nation’s economic development goals.

Quality of Life and Vision 2030

The Quality of Life Program Center will also be part of Saudi Arabia’s pavilion at Davos 2026, which reflects a commitment to enhancing global dialogue about quality of life and its key indicators, while showcasing opportunities and support mechanisms across various quality-of-life sectors consistent with the vision outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.

Saudi Arabia’s presence at Davos 2026 underscores its evolution into a pivotal architect of global economic and environmental policy. Guided by Vision 2030, the Kingdom has transitioned from an energy stabilizer to a leader in the circular carbon economy, sustainable mining, and AI.

Since 2022, Saudi delegations have consistently addressed food security and urban innovation, culminating in Riyadh hosting the 2024 WEF Special Meeting. By launching initiatives like the Centre for Cyber Economics, Saudi Arabia continues to leverage international partnerships to drive regional stability and global prosperity, proving its strategic vision is a blueprint for future resilience.
