Saudi Arabia to Unveil World’s First Dragon Ball Theme Park
In a groundbreaking announcement made today, Friday, Qiddiya Investment Company revealed plans to construct the world’s inaugural Dragon Ball theme park near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This ambitious project is a collaboration between the company and the franchise owner.
The announcement follows the recent passing of Akira Toriyama, the visionary creator behind the Dragon Ball franchise, at the age of 68 earlier this month.
Spanning 500,000 square meters, the park will feature seven areas recreating iconic sites from the original series, including Kame House, Capsule Corporation, and Beerus’ Planet.
A towering 70-meter-high statue of Shenron, the series’ dragon, will be a prominent feature alongside 30 attractions and five rides. The Dragon Ball-themed park will also include hotels and restaurants to cater for visitors.
However, the company has not disclosed the project’s opening date or costs.
According to a press release from the Qiddiya Investment Company, visitors will “immerse themselves in the adventures at the heart of the action, experiencing the journey from the first Dragon Ball series to the latest Dragon Ball Super.”
