Saudi Arabia reviews carbon recycling efforts at the climate summit

A discussion session on “Creating value from carbon dioxide and newest technology for recycling carbon dioxide” was held at the Saudi pavilion at the headquarters of the UN Climate Change Conference COP26.

The speakers discussed current and emerging carbon-extraction methods, as well as recycling and gas-disposal approaches that benefit the environment and economy as a whole.

KSA implements these axes through the “Green Saudi Arabia” initiative, which was recently announced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.

The session focused on the National Basic Industries Corporation’s (SABIC) most notable circular inventions, as well as attempts to transition the energy-intensive industry to renewable energy sources.

Aramco’s efforts to create a range of carbon extraction technologies that absorb and store carbon dioxide in geological formations, as well as its usage of the Fourth Industrial Revolution approaches, were also mentioned by the speakers.
