Saudi Arabia recorded 12% surge in E-Commerce . The total number of registered software design and programming firms in Saudi Arabia reached 36,330 in the third quarter of 2023.
Software Design and Programming Registrations
The city of Riyadh topped the list with 14,497 registrations, followed by Makkah with 9,275 registrations, and the Eastern Province with 5,866 registrations. The regions of Madinah and Qasim recorded 1,792 and 1,222 registrations, respectively.
Electronic Games Development
The electronic games development sector also experienced substantial growth, with a 56% increase in registered firms by the end of the third quarter of 2023.
Riyadh dominated this sector with 1,613 registrations, followed by Makkah with 622 registrations, and the Eastern Province with 322 registrations,Madinah and Asir regions recorded 98 and 42 registrations, respectively.
The rising interest in electronic games reflects the Kingdom’s population’s passion for gaming and the potential for transforming it into a lucrative career path.
Telecare and Telemedicine Centers
Registrations for telecare and telemedicine centers witnessed a 33% year-on-year increase in the third quarter of 2023, reaching a total of 757.
Riyadh accounted for the majority with 404 registrations, followed by Makkah with 190 registrations, and the Eastern Province with 66 registrations.
Madinah and Qassim regions recorded 29 and 15 registrations, respectively. This growth indicates the increasing importance of telemedicine services in providing healthcare solutions to the population, especially in remote areas.
Fintech Solutions Sector
The fintech solutions sector in Saudi Arabia also experienced significant growth, with a 21% increase in registered companies during the third quarter of 2023.
Riyadh led the way with 1,707 registrations, followed by Makkah with 588 registrations, and the Eastern Province with 297 registrations, Madinah and Qassim regions recorded 84 and 44 registrations, respectively.
