Saudi Arabia develops digital e-commerce logistics services
The Saudi Shura Council stressed recently the General Authority for Foreign Trade the need to coordinate with the relevant authorities to develop this sector
While the council called on the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones to study the industrial zones within the urban scope and to redevelop them.
The Saudi market is witnessing significant growth in e-commerce, as its sales through Mada cards jumped in the third quarter of this year by 89% on an annual basis, recording 20.2 billion riyals ($ 5.3 billion) by the end of the period.
The Council emphasized the importance of working with the Saudi Center for Energy Efficiency to prepare a time plan for each initiative in the targeted sectors
The Shura Council indicated that the center should conduct studies of the best local, regional and global practices and publish them to help raise the efficiency of energy production and consumption.
The council also recommended that the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center be given more authority by directing government agencies to fulfill the royal orders’ requirements for optimizing energy and fuel consumption and supplying the appropriate data.
