Saudi Arabia launches Riyadh Marathon, with wide participation from the World
The Saudi Sports for All Federation (SFA) has completed the second edition of the Riyadh Marathon, which will take place in 2022.
It was held today in the heart of Riyadh, the Saudi capital, with over 10,000 participants from around the Kingdom, the Gulf states, and around the world.
The fact that it is the first professional and international marathon to be held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as sanctioned by the Asian and International Athletics Federations, is one of the most significant aspects of this international sporting event.
It is still regarded as one of the most important sporting events of its kind, having been organized by the Saudi Sports for All Federation.
Thousands of sports and running fans from all across the Kingdom and the world participated in the 42-kilometer competition.
A large number of people turned out to watch the historical event and enjoy the joyful mood.
The itinerary was created to allow participants to visit some of Riyadh’s most popular tourist attractions.
The marathon was organized by the Sports for All Federation with direct support from the Ministry of Sports to meet the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030’s Quality of Life Program.
