Saudi Arabia Launches Platform Code Accelerating Digital Transformation
With an exceptional aim to unify platform designs in Saudi Arabia, the Digital Government Authority has launched the Platform Code.
According to Arab News, the code serves as a national farmwork for designing and developing government platform interfaces.
The launch was part of an important event in Riyadh gathering dignitaries, digital transformation leaders from public and private sectors, and key stakeholders.
Commenting on the launch, the Authority’s governor, Ahmed Al-Suwaiyan, stated that the Platform Code comes in line with local and global digital standards.
Therefore, it represents a crucial step toward the full digital transformation as the code basically boosts compliance and enhances efficient services in line with the Kingdom’s Strategic digital goals.
Described as an open-source design system, the code stands as a special blend between coding frameworks, design tools, and community guidelines, offering rapid development of unified user experiences. Moreover, it allows designers and developers to address specific needs using pre-built assets.
The authority also launched the Digital Transformation Ambassador program to strengthen the digital community within the Kingdom.
Meanwhile, it initiated the Scene Program to improve holistic user experiences locally and globally through advanced frameworks and tools.
