Founding Day: stc Group Breaks Two Guinness Records with Historic Drone Display
The stc Group has secured two Guinness World Records after a stunning drone light show dazzled the Riyadh skies in celebration of the Founding Day 2026, according to the Saudi Press Agency.
The company clinched its first Guinness World Record with the largest multirotor drone QR code formation, then earned a second one by introducing the largest moving aerial image with drones.
Both shows provided viewers with a fully integrated visual spectacle.
Saudi Founding Day marks the establishment of the first Saudi state in 1727, when Imam Muhammad bin Saud laid the foundations of governance in Diriyah.
In 2022, the day was introduced as an official holiday, standing out as one of the Kingdom’s three non-religious national observances.
The commemoration goes beyond a date on the calendar, it is a cultural depiction of ancestry, heritage, and national identity.
The stc’s synchronized spectacle showcased the group’s active role in the Founding Day celebrations, as illuminated drones adorned the capital’s skyline with vibrant digital artistry and an interactive QR code formation.
