Saudi Arabia, Kuwait Strengthen Security Cooperation Against Iranian Aggression

Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and Kuwaiti Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Sabah reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to Gulf unity during a high-level telephone call on Thursday. Both leaders underscored the urgent need for bolstered coordination among Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states to preserve regional security and long-term stability.

During the exchange, the two Crown Princes issued a stern condemnation of recent “heinous” Iranian attacks targeting Gulf countries. They characterized these acts of aggression as a direct violation of state sovereignty and a grave threat to the safety of their peoples. Furthermore, the leaders warned that such escalations carry dangerous repercussions for both regional and international security frameworks.

According to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), Sheikh Sabah expressed a categorical rejection of any actions that seek to harm the Kingdom. He emphasized a unified front by stating, “an attack on any Gulf country is an attack on Kuwait itself.” Consequently, this sentiment reinforces the collective defense pact that binds the neighboring nations during periods of heightened geopolitical tension.

Leadership and Resilience

The Kuwaiti Crown Prince voiced his absolute confidence in the ability of the region to navigate this volatile period. He noted that the GCC would “overcome this phase with strength through the wisdom of our leaders.” Similarly, he stressed that continued strategic coordination remains the primary tool for maintaining the stability of the Arabian Peninsula.

Global Solidarity with the Kingdom

Beyond the Gulf, Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received separate communications from Djibouti’s President Ismail Omar Guelleh and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. Both heads of state expressed their total solidarity with Saudi Arabia following the recent Iranian military escalations. They confirmed their support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its territory and national security.

President Abbas specifically reaffirmed Palestine’s rejection of any attack targeting Saudi sovereignty, according to the WAFA news agency. He also took the opportunity to praise the Kingdom’s consistent and historical support for the Palestinian cause.

Ultimately, these high-level discussions highlight a growing international consensus against regional destabilization and a shared commitment to Saudi Arabia’s territorial integrity.
