They will compete for 7 key awards by showcasing scientific inventions covering a wide range of fields, including marine safety and technology, environmental technology and energy efficiency, and nanotechnology and materials science. The inventions also cover the fields of security and biometric technology, healthcare and medical equipment, robotics and electromagnetic technology, transport and infrastructure, and artificial intelligence (AI).
On this occasion, the Deputy Minister for International Cooperation and head of the Saudi delegation, Nasser bin Mohammed Al-Aqili, noted that the Kingdom’s participation in the 50th Geneva International Exhibition of Invention aligns with the Education Ministry’s efforts to support talented students and boost their participation in international scientific forums.
This includes a focus on national priorities for research, development and innovation, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to foster competent citizens who can compete globally.
Al-Aqili also said that the Geneva International Exhibition of Invention is one of the most significant international exhibitions in invention and innovation. In the light of this, the Saudi Education Ministry held qualifying programs for the participating students to enhance their preparedness and enable them to connect with their counterparts from around the world.
