Saudi Arabia faces extremism in preaching accurately
Saudi Arabia has succeeded in managing and correcting the route of preaching and addressing extremism, according to Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Call and Guidance.
He said that Saudi Arabia’s preaching platforms are on the correct track, noting that they serve an important role in educating society and fighting those that want to use Islam for political gain.
This was revealed at an official meeting in Jeddah with Yaqut Khalil Qamas, the Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, who is now visiting Saudi Arabia.
Minister Al-Sheikh began the meeting by reviewing the administration of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ work in the areas of serving Islam and Muslims, disseminating moderate values, and rectifying religious discourse comprehension.
The minister also discussed the government’s plans to print the Noble Qur’an at Madinah’s King Fahd Complex, as well as the Kingdom’s efforts to combat the Corona epidemic and serve the Two Holy Mosques and its tourists.
He emphasized that the Ministry of Islamic Affairs has signed memorandums of understanding with some Islamic ministries and sheikhdoms around the world to share the Kingdom’s experience in serving Islam and to spread its tolerant values and teachings in line with the Kingdom’s policy and message to Muslims worldwide.
He also praised Saudi Arabia and Indonesia’s exemplary cooperation in a variety of fields, including Islamic affairs, to realize visions and aspirations, as well as everything that promotes security, progress, and advancement for the two countries.
The Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, for his part, praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts to serve Islam and Muslims around the world, particularly Muslims in Indonesia, under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince.
He noted that Saudi Arabia is making great strides to spread the approach of moderation and moderation that Muslim peoples require around the world.
The minister praised Saudi Arabia’s efforts to assist pilgrims, as well as anyone who comes to the Kingdom intending to visit, emphasizing that the Kingdom’s experience in dealing with the Corona pandemic is unique and reflects the Kingdom’s pioneering leadership’s awareness and keenness.
