Saudi Arabia braces for a third winter cold wave with temperatures set to plunge across several parts of the Kingdom this week, according to Gulf News.
The National Centre of Meteorology (NCM) has warned that the icy front, expected to sweep in on Wednesday and Thursday, affecting multiple regions, including Al Jouf, the Northern Borders, Hail, Qassim and Riyadh.
Some areas will also experience minimum temperatures ranging between 3°C and as low as 1°C below zero.
This cold spell marks the third cold wave to hit Saudi Arabia during the winter of 2025.
The Kingdom was struck by the first wave in mid-December, bringing extreme cold conditions and snowfall to parts of the Kingdom, especially Hail and Tabuk.
The NCM advised residents to follow the official updates and abide by the necessary precautions, particularly during the early morning and night-time hours as the temperature will decline sharply.
Saudi authorities also urged the public to drive with caution during periods of heavy rain and low visibility, while complying with safety guidance outlined by civil defense authorities.
