Saudi Arabia donates SAR 20 million to Islamic countries to confront Corona

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia announced today, Monday, a donation of 20 million riyals to support the Organization of Islamic Cooperation’s least developed nations in their fight against Corona.

This was announced during the 14th Islamic Summit, which was led by the Kingdom, to support the organization’s initiative to distribute Corona vaccines to the organization’s least developed members.

The Saudi donation came to support 22 member states of the organization.

An account was also opened during the summit dedicated to the initiative to purchase vaccines for poor countries.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation, with 57 member states, is the second-largest intergovernmental organization after the United Nations. It reflected the Islamic world’s united voice.
