Saudi Arabia, China review defense relations in Singapore

Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari, the Saudi Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs, met in Singapore with the Chinese Minister of Defense, Lieutenant-General Wei Fengyi, according to the Saudi Press Agency, “SPA”.

This meeting came on the sidelines of the 19th Asian Security Summit “Shangri-La Dialogue”, during which they reviewed the bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and China in the defense and military fields, in addition to discussing many issues of common concern, according to “Zass”.

It is worth noting that Khalid bin Hussein Al-Bayari heads the Saudi Defense Ministry delegation participating in the 19th Asian Security Summit “Shangri-La Dialogue”, which kicked off yesterday in Singapore, with the participation of several defenses, interior and foreign ministers, senior government officials, military analysts, and decision-makers in diplomatic circles and security in more than 30 countries.

According to “SPA”, the summit, organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies, will discuss some important axes, most notably the regional security situation, ways of cooperation and exchange in the field of defense, and strengthening security partnerships in the Asia-Pacific region.
