Saudi Arabia, China launch the Entrepreneurs Association at Leap 23 conference

Officials at the Leap 23 conference announced recently the official launch of the Saudi-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association (SCEA).

 

The association includes the most significant institutions, governmental agencies, non-governmental organizations, and academic institutions from both countries.

 

 

 

The Saudi-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association

 

The Saudi-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association is a non-profit organization supported by the Ministry of Communications and the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity and managed by eWTP.

 

The association aims to enhance constructive participation between business leaders and companies in the Kingdom and China, and encourage cross-border investment

 

It includes more than 100 founding members.

 

The Association will serve as a valuable platform for members to exchange ideas, collaborate and exchange effective business practices.

 

China as a strategic partner 

 

Faisal Al-Khamisi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming, and Drones, confirmed that China is a strategic partner for Saudi Arabia in terms of technology and innovation.

 

He stated that the association will contribute to enhancing our cooperation to a higher level and provide the broader Saudi-Chinese business community with a forum for sharing valuable experiences.

 

For his part, Jerry Lee, Founder and General Manager of eWTPA said: “The idea of the association is in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and will enable cross-border investment and collaboration.”

 

 

 

Entrepreneurs Association is an exemplary milestone

 

The launch of the Saudi-Chinese Entrepreneurs Association marks a historic milestone in the growing private-sector engagement between China and the kingdom, following President Xi’s recent state visit to the kingdom.

 

John Lee, Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, participated in the launch ceremony with a delegation of senior government officials and businessmen from Hong Kong.

 

The association plays a pivotal role in advancing continuous progress and contributing to the digital transformation of both the Kingdom and China.

 

The establishment of the association reflects the growing private sector involvement between the two countries and represents an extremely significant first chapter in bilateral relations.
