The Ministry of Tourism has adopted a new step to enable all Gulf GCC community residents to obtain a visit visa for tourism electronically.
This visa enables resident individuals to visit different regions of the Kingdom and perform Umrah.
KSA allowed All professions of residents in the GCC countries to enter.
The ministry had previously announced amendments to the list of visit visas for the purpose of tourism.
Minister of Tourism, Ahmed bin Aqil Al-Khatib announced this visit visa decision.
The amendments included expanding the eligible categories and providing more options for those wishing to visit KSA for the purpose of tourism.
This step comes as part of the Ministry’s efforts to provide all residents with the opportunity to enjoy tourist destinations.
This step also helps residents to participate in tourism and entertainment activities.
It allows them to get acquainted closely with the heritage and historical depth of the Kingdom.
The Ministry stated that all residents of the GCC countries are now able to enter the Kingdom with an electronic tourist visa, by applying through the “visit Saudi” platform.
Saudi Arabia also requires that the residency be valid for no less than three months.
This includes the first-degree relatives of the residence visa holder coming with him, and domestic workers coming with their sponsors.
The tourist visit visa regulations issued by the Ministry stipulate that tourists must comply with the rules and instructions followed while they are in the Kingdom.
The ministry also noted that the tourist visa does not allow the performance of Hajj.
It also does not allow Umrah to be performed during the Hajj season.
The Ministry called for visiting the electronic platform to obtain more information about the visa.
