Riyadh Theater Festival Showcases Saudi Excellence in Theatrical Arts

The Theater and Performing Arts Commission is currently hosting the second Riyadh Theater Festival at Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University, Arab News reported.

Set to run from December 15 to 26, the festival will be crucial for boosting the theatrical movement in Saudi Arabia and raising public awareness of the performing arts.

Through 20 fascinating performances, the 2024 edition will closely reflect the diversity of theatrical arts in the Kingdom, including its intellectual and developmental programs, according to the commission’s CEO Sultan Al-Bazie.

Furthermore, the festival will honor the late Ahmed Al-Sabbagh, who was a prominent figure in the field. It will also award the outstanding performers.

In the light of this, the event stands as a testament to the commission’s dedication to elevating the performing arts and Saudi talent and encouraging them to strengthen their presence on the regional and international stage.
