The Royal Commission for Riyadh City (RCRC) has unveiled that the Riyadh Metro has served approximately 18 million passengers, with more than 162,000 trips, the Saudi Press Agency reported.
Since the inauguration of the network on December 1, 2024, the metro has covered nearly 4.5 million kilometers across the six train lines.
The RCRC noted that the Blue Line—Al-Olaya Al-Batha Axis is the most utilized line with approximately 10 million passengers during this period.
Meanwhile, the KAFD Station has captured the highest passenger traffic of over 3 million.
Crucially, passengers can select destinations and purchase tickets via several options, as follows:
- “darb” mobile app
- Vending machines at stations
- Digital payment methods via banks and smart devices.
