The third edition of Riyadh Fashion Week kicked off on Thursday, offering a vibrant day full of runway shows and fashion-forward events that dazzled the Saudi capital, according to Arab News.
The day commenced with an intimate Vivienne Westwood panel discussion at the Fashion Commission in Riyadh. The discussion introduced glimpses into the brand’s enduring legacy of design, environmental activism, and extraordinary craftsmanship.
Then, a stunning runway show at The Palm Grove showcased a special blend between British design and Saudi craftsmanship.
The show featured intricately embroidered couture gowns crafted in collaboration with Art of Heritage, a Saudi organization devoted to safeguarding traditional artisanal techniques.
The collection also included select pieces from the house’s Spring/Summer 2026 and archival collections.
Moreover, it showcased opulent ball gowns fashioned from luxurious silk and satin in elegant shades of lilac, emerald, and silver, each embroidered with gold threadwork inspired by traditional Saudi craftsmanship.
Interestingly, the show highlighted metallic brocades and delicate tulle fabrics, paired with corsets and elegantly draped bodices that drew inspiration from historic tailoring techniques.
Accessories completed the looks with sculptural chandelier earrings, metallic handbags, and pointed heels.
Some select ensembles featured belts and veils, while embroidered detailing and exaggerated shoulders solidified the house’s craftsmanship.
The day also witnessed additional runway shows that took place at Bedrock, showcasing the unique visions of Saudi designers Tima Abid, Adnan Akbar, and Atelier Hekayat.
