Saudi Arabia has approved a landmark educational initiative to open branches of pioneering British institutions across the Kingdom, according to Gulf News.
In a remarkable milestone in the Kingdom’s education system, nine British schools will be licensed to operate nationwide, providing internationally accredited curricula to both Saudi and expatriate students.
The program also features the establishment of two British universities in the Kingdom; a step set to broaden higher education prospects and boost greater academic collaboration.
Under this initiative, Saudi Arabia will also launch its first international British nursing college, designed to foster healthcare education and equip a new generation of professionals to meet the sector’s growing demand.
Despite the fact that the American curriculum represents the most widely chosen by students, Saudi authorities mentioned that the decision comes in response to a rising demand for British education—notably in Riyadh—fueled by the Kingdom’s growing expatriate community.
These partnerships stand as a testament to Saudi Arabia’s dedication to elevating educational standards, expanding learning options, and aligning its academic systems with international benchmarks.
In the light of this, the current program serves as a pivotal step toward realizing Saudi Vision 2030’s objective of building human capital and strengthening a knowledge-driven economy.
