Riyadh Charitable Foundation for Science Extends STEM 2024 Through Nov.
The Riyadh Charitable Foundation for Science has announced an extension of the Science and Technology Festival (STEM 2024), organized by the King Salman Science Oasis. The festival, themed “Discover Your Passion … Unleash Your Potential,” will now run through the end of November.
The extension is a result of the high turnout of visitors at the festival, demonstrating the foundation’s commitment to offering opportunities to as many school students as possible, along with visitors and anyone interested in science and technology.
During this event, Prince Dr. Abdulaziz bin Ayyaf, Vice President of the Riyadh Philanthropic Society for Sciences, commended the support of Prince Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Riyadh Region and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the foundation. He also highlighted the Governor’s dedicated efforts in supporting and empowering the youth.
He emphasized the foundation’s dedication to supporting high-quality projects and scientific initiatives that promote knowledge and strengthen the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in key sectors. Moreover, this aims to prepare globally competitive citizens in alignment with the national strategic goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
In conclusion, STEM 2024, which kicked off in early September, provides a rich educational, cultural, and entertainment experience across 25 pavilions, along with a variety of engaging activities. This year’s theme, “Chemistry and Petrochemicals,” was selected due to its significance as a crucial economic sector and its major role in Saudi Arabia’s non-oil exports.
