Red Sea Film Festival Announces Lineup of Arab Short Films of 2025 Competition

The Red Sea International Film Festival has unveiled the lineup of Arab short films selected to participate in the official competition of its eagerly awaited fifth edition, according to the Saudi Press Agency.

The curated selection features a vast array of emerging voices and filmmakers from across the Arab world, including Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Lebanon, Egypt, Morocco, Iraq, and the United Arab Emirates.

The festival will screen 11 films from December 4 to 13, in the heart of historic Jeddah (Al-Balad).

The 2025 edition of the program boasts a curated selection of works that highlight a new generation of promising Arab talents.

These films introduce several narrative perspectives that capture the realities of the region while offering glimpses into its social, cultural, and humanitarian issues.

By launching Arab Short Films program, the festival serves as a vibrant platform that celebrates talented voices in Arab cinema and empowers them to take creative risks and embark on bold artistic expressions.

The Red Sea International Film Festival underscores its dedication to empowering national talent and strengthening Saudi Arabia’s presence in global cinema and creative content industry.
