Dreams of the Era Garners Success at Red Sea Film Festival

Dreams of the Era” offers a unique cinematic journey, initially delving into deep emotions and daily challenges.

It then centers on a retired soccer star, shunned by media, who teams up with his daughter for revenge.

Consequently, together, they exploit social media for fame, subsequently joining forces with top celebrity agents. This collaboration leads to promoting major real estate projects, ultimately fueling their greed and complications.

Director Fares Quds’s Statement

Director Fares Quds said, “We’re thrilled with the Cultural Fund’s support, It helped turn our story into a film fitting for the Saudi industry. Additionally, we’re proud of the warm welcome at the Red Sea Film Festival and, furthermore, honored by the impact on viewers. Therefore, we eagerly anticipate sharing our story globally.”

Funding and Support for “Dreams of the Era”

“Dreams of the Era” received funding from the Cultural Fund through the Cultural Project Stimulus Program. Launched by the Cultural Fund in partnership with the Quality of Life Program two years ago. The program had a budget of 181 million Saudi Riyals.

It aims to provide non-reimbursable financial incentives for cultural sector projects, including the film sector.
In addition, it contributes to the development and needs of the cultural sector.

Production and Cast of “Dreams of the Era”

Produced by Shrit for Media and Visual Production and co-produced with the Red Sea Fund, “Dreams of the Era” stars Sohaib Quds, Najm, and directed by Fares Quds. The film also features Fatima Al-Banawi, Hakeem Juma, and a number of other cinematic talents.

Future Prospects for “Dreams of the Era”

The film is slated for more international festivals and, subsequently, local cinemas next year. Meanwhile, the Quds brothers aim to sell its global rights, thereby boosting Saudi cinema’s worldwide presence.
