The Saudi Transport General Authority (TGA) announced a significant milestone with licensed parcel transport companies delivered over 26 million shipments during Ramadan 1446 AH. This marks an 18% increase compared to last year.
This achievement highlights the Kingdom’s logistics sector efficiency. It reflects the commitment of licensed companies to enhancing customer experience. Moreover, it aligns with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy.
The highest daily delivery rate occurred on the 24th of Ramadan. Companies surpassed 1.1 million shipments within 24 hours. This underscores the sector’s operational readiness and capacity to handle seasonal surges.
Continued Growth
The growth in parcel transport is evident. Approximately 22 million shipments were delivered in Ramadan 1445 AH (2024). This compares to 14 million in Ramadan 1444 AH (2023), showing an overall increase of over 86% in just two years.
The TGA attributes this success to integrated efforts and strong partnerships with government agencies. Over 70 licensed companies participated. Their adherence to operational plans during peak seasons played a key role in enhancing service efficiency and achieving this milestone.
