Pilgrims Start Moving from Madinah to Makkah

Saudi Arabia has adopted a system of services to meet the needs of the large numbers of pilgrims who depart from Madinah to Makkah daily on buses, reported Saudi Press Agency.

Saudi Arabia has been receiving pilgrims from all over the world ahead of Hajj season.

The Motawifs Pilgrims for Southeast Asian Countries Company (Mashariq) welcomed a group of 305 Sudanese pilgrims who arrived in Mecca on Sunday to perform Hajj 2024.

The Sudanese pilgrims expressed their sincere gratitude to the Kingdom for their warm welcome and smooth procedures.

Saudi Arabia will welcome 8,000 Sudanese who registered to perform Hajj this year.

In the same vein, the Passports Office at Halat Ammar border crossing welcomed the first batch of the Jordanian pilgrims who arrived three days ago in the Kingdom.

Preparations for Hajj Season

The holy sites in Saudi Arabia are gearing up to receive over 2 million pilgrims during the Hajj Season 2024.

According the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), tents have been equipped with all the necessary needs that enable pilgrims to perform Hajj rituals with ease and comfort.

In preparation for Hajj season, the relevant government and civil sectors are putting their efforts to implement the operational plans, taking into account the administrative and technical aspects, to meet pilgrims’ needs.

The Holy Makkah Municipality equipped a number of field teams that work around the clock to oversee and follow-up on road and lighting maintenance, as well as sidewalks and public facilities to ensure their safety and efficiency.

In this regard, material laboratory has carried out quality tests for the roads leading to the holy sites, under the supervision of specialized engineers and qualified technical teams.

The Holy Makkah Municipality has established several service centers in the holy sites according to the geographic distribution, equipping them with the necessary devices and manpower.
