Over 400 Students Showcase Scientific Projects at Ibdaa 2025 Regional Exhibitions
A total of 480 middle and high school students from across Saudi Arabia recently showcased their scientific projects during the regional exhibitions of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity (Ibdaa) 2025. These exhibitions, part of the Olympiad’s fourth phase, were held in Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, and Madinah between December 6 and 21.
Organized by the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba) in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. Moreover, the events featured expert committees assessing the projects to identify top candidates for the final stage of the competition. The results, determining the 180 students who will progress to the final phase, will be announced on December 26.
Ibdaa, an annual competition, offers students a platform to present their individual research projects, evaluated by a panel of academics and specialists using rigorous scientific criteria. Additionally, top-performing students gain opportunities to advance to prestigious competitions such as the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF).
This year’s Olympiad marked a record-breaking milestone, with an unprecedented 291,057 students registering to participate in Ibdaa 2025.
