Ibdaa 2024 Exhibition for Scientific Creativity Starts in Jazan
Today marks the launch of the “Ibdaa 2024” exhibition, a phase of the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity. The General Directorate of Education organized the event in the Jazan region.
The event features 80 talented male and female students from Jazan and Sabya educational districts. It is taking place at the Prince Sultan Cultural Center in Jazan city.
Showcasing Scientific Projects
Students are presenting their scientific projects and research to attendees and visitors in a specialized exhibition.
The projects span various fields including biochemistry, computational biology, informatics, plant sciences, material science, mathematics, microbiology, social and behavioral sciences, software systems, biomedical engineering, environmental engineering, earth and environmental sciences, chemistry, robotics, smart devices, energy, and more.
Aims and Objectives
Najah Habter, the General Supervisor of the Talented at the Ministry of Education, explained that the National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity aims to create a stimulating scientific research environment.
Furthermore, it seeks to develop creativity among students and encourage them to represent the nation in local and international participations. This is achieved through a strategic partnership between the Ministry of Education and the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity.
The “Ibdaa” National Olympiad for Scientific Creativity aims to foster a challenging and inventive scientific atmosphere that inspires pre-college researchers. It also readies them for global competition and integration into the international knowledge network, focusing on innovation and scientific inquiry to accomplish enduring national progress.
