The Secretary-General of the Muslim World League (MWL) and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa, paid a visit to the headquarters of the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC) in Riyadh.
During his visit, Dr. Al-Issa delivered a lecture attended by IMCTC Secretary-General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi along with representatives from member states. His address focused on the evolution of contemporary intellectual ideologies, the rise of Islamophobia, and the importance of adopting effective countermeasures.
The discussions also explored avenues for enhancing cooperation between MWL and IMCTC, with the goal of achieving greater integration in efforts to combat extremism and terrorism.
Dr. Al-Issa received an in-depth briefing on the coalition’s core initiatives across four main areas: intellectual, media, counter-financing of terrorism, and military operations.
He praised the Kingdom’s leadership for its steadfast commitment to eradicating terrorism and extremism in all their forms, and underscored IMCTC’s vital role in confronting extremist ideology through its strategic programs and initiatives.
