Multiverse Summit 2024: Saudi Arabia Explores AI Future with Silicon Valley Leaders
The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology hosted on Friday the Multiverse Summit 2024 at Silicon Valley, the US, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Summit aims to strengthen the partnership between entrepreneurial ecosystems of Saudi Arabia and the US. It also falls within the Kingdom’s efforts to reinforce digital innovation and support startups, in line with Vision 2030.
Multiverse Summit 2024
Under the theme “Building New AI Frontiers,” the Multiverse Summit 2024 brought together technology and investment leaders to explore the latest trends in the field of artificial intelligence (AI). The Summit held six sessions to discuss AI future, opportunities and challenges to its expansion across various industries.
The first session hosted the founder and CEO of Groq, Jonathan Ross, who discussed Groq’s success story, global AI, visions on the future of AI, Groq’s activities in Saudi Arabia, and what these innovations mean for people.
The second session discussed future investment in AI with a16z’s General Partner, Anjney Midha, who analyzed AI investment landscape, the potential winners and the company’s strategy to identify global leaders.
AI Applications
Meanwhile, the third session discussed utilizing AI at work, with AI Vice President at Meta, Manohar Paluri, who explained how to effectively integrate AI into workplace, and shared practical applications, examples, and insights into how to overcome challenges to enhance productivity and innovation.
The fourth session of the Multiverse Summit 2024 hosted the founder and CEO of Luminar Technologies, Austin Russell. He discussed how to enhance future technologies through AI, and explained how Luminar Technologies harnesses AI to promote autonomous technologies.
He also discussed advancements in technologies and strategies development to provide a seamless user experience.
In the fifth session, the founder of Social Capital, Chamath Palihapitiya, explored the next wave of AI technologies that will shape industries.
Meanwhile, the final session discussed the expansion of AI use with the Distinguished Education Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Human-Centered AI and Director of Research at Google Inc, Dr. Peter Norvig.
Moreover, Dr. Norvig discussed the investment landscape in AI startups and factors contributing to its successful expansion. He also shared ideas on AI potential to transform several industries.
