Microsoft Edge Introduces New Features
Microsoft this week presented a major update, which brings new colorful features to the Edge browser, with updated icons and the new Sleeping Tabs feature, which improves the browser and the overall performance of the computer.
To celebrate the one-year anniversary of the release of the Chromium-based Microsoft Edge browser, the browser got new features available through the browser add-on site.
Themes range from simple colors all the way to Halo, Microsoft Flight Simulator and Forza Horizon themes.
These new features include colors on new tab pages, the address bar and other parts of the browser.
Microsoft has also updated the icons used throughout the browser, to better match the company’s Fluent Design System.
“In our latest release, you notice slight updates to the icons in the Microsoft Edge browser that are more rounded and softer in appearance,” says Liat Ben Tzur, Microsoft CEO who works on the company’s Modern Life initiative.
“This is just the beginning of our design journey, and we are already envisioning how to incorporate the Fluent Design System into all of our products, and we can’t wait to share more of our insights in the near future.”
