The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has added a new shipping service “FEM1” to Jeddah Islamic Port, boosting connectivity between the Kingdom’s ports and other worldwide ports, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
In collaboration with “UGL ” and ” C star ” companies, the new service connects Jeddah Islamic Port with other several ports, as follows:
- Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, and Nansha in China
- Kelang in Malaysia
- Istanbul in Turkey
With a capacity of 2,758 standard containers, the shipping service will boost exports and imports among ports and further enhance the port’s competitiveness.
This new achievement stands as a testament to Mawani’s unwavering commitment to positioning the Kingdom as a global logistics hub linking three continents in line with the National Strategy for Transport and Logistics Services.
