Opportunities at King Salman Oasis Attracts Visitors to Science, Technology Festival

The Opportunities section of the Science and Technology Festival 2024, which is organized by the King Salman Science Park until the end of next November, have attracted the attention of visitors who interacted with the modern technologies used in the world of petrochemical industries.

The festival’s visitors are introduced, through an exciting exploratory journey that combines applied sciences, industrial innovation, and promising entrepreneurial opportunities, to how basic raw materials such as naphtha, ethane, propane, and butane are transformed through complex chemical processes into high value-added products.

Visitors watched in interactive displays the path of hydrocarbon resources from oil and gas fields to advanced industrial complexes.

The Opportunities Section allowed its visitors to explore future job prospects and promising opportunities in the fields of entrepreneurship, research and innovation, as well as how the next generation of scientists can contribute to achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.

Rich, Informative Journey

Visitors to the Science and Technology Festival generally experienced a rich, informative journey, beginning with a look back into the past and learning about the contributions of Arab and Muslim scientists in the field of science. The journey then transitioned to the present, where visitors had the chance to meet scientists from King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology.

Visitors thoroughly enjoyed engaging with specialists in various fields of science and technology, discussing topics such as environmental challenges and how to address and solve them, as well as creating a more sustainable and brighter future. They also discussed the importance of equipping students with essential STEM skills to prepare them as the leaders of tomorrow.

It is noteworthy that the petrochemical industry is one of the basic pillars of the economy in the Kingdom, as it benefits from its rich natural resources of oil and gas.
