Lenovo Cultivates Saudi Talent with Landmark Development Program

Chinese tech leader Lenovo has partnered with the Saudi Human Resources Development Fund (HRDF), Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, and Alat to launch a pioneering talent program in Saudi Arabia.

This initiative will train 100 Saudi graduates in cutting-edge manufacturing skills through hands-on rotations at Lenovo’s Riyadh facility and global sites. Consequently, it accelerates Vision 2030’s industrial diversification and local talent development goals while strengthening the Kingdom’s knowledge-based economy.

Strategic Collaboration Fuels Industrial Growth

The HRDF fully funds this program, with the Ministry providing strategic oversight and Alat supplying technical resources, with Lenovo delivering world-class training and operational support to ensure participants master engineering, technology, and digital manufacturing. Therefore, this alliance directly tackles youth unemployment while building a sustainable industrial ecosystem aligned with national priorities.

Lenovo’s MEA Regional Headquarters leader Lawrence Yu emphasized commitment: “Saudi Arabia’s industrial ambition inspires us. We invest in the Kingdom’s greatest asset, its people, by providing global skills, fostering innovation, and creating meaningful careers. Together, we lay foundations for a thriving manufacturing sector that advances Vision 2030.”

His words underscored Lenovo’s dedication to empowering Saudi talent through practical opportunity.

Global Exposure Meets Local Ambition

Moreover, graduates will undergo intensive four-month training across Lenovo’s award-winning supply chain network, spanning 30+ facilities worldwide. They will rotate through production, quality control, and digital operations roles, gaining firsthand experience in Gartner-ranked top-10 global operations.

Moreover, the curriculum blends international classroom standards with real-world assignments at regional and overseas plants.

This program complements Lenovo’s expanding Saudi footprint, including its new Riyadh manufacturing base, MEA headquarters, and R&D centers, creating a clear pipeline for skilled Saudi professionals to lead the Kingdom’s industrial transformation.

Ultimately, such investments prove Lenovo’s long-term partnership with Saudi Arabia extends far beyond infrastructure, it cultivates human capital for a competitive future.
