KSrelief Supervisor General Visits Housing Project for Earthquake Victims in Turkey

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Supervisor General has visited the housing units designed for earthquake victims in Turkey on Wednesday, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Rabeeah has inspected the Saudi project that aimed to build 364 residential units in the İslahiye area of Gaziantep province.

Each temporary housing unit consists of two rooms and a bathroom equipped with basic furniture.

The earthquake victims expressed sincere gratitude to Saudi Arabia and KSrelief for sheltering them and provided them with modern residential units.

Furthermore, they explained that the units have modern designs and highly meet the essential needs of decent life.

KSrelief has built 3,000 housing units for earthquake victims in Syria and Turkey, including 1,500 temporary housing units for those affected by the earthquake in the Afrin region of Syria’s Aleppo Governorate.

Moreover, the Kingdom has established various facilities, including a school accommodating 756 individuals, a mosque for 700 worshippers, 20 caravans for administrative and commercial activities, 15 playground areas for children, and a water well.

KSrelief also built approximately 1,500 temporary housing units for earthquake victims in the districts of İslahiye and Nurdağı in Gaziantep, Adıyaman and Malatya provinces in Turkey.

The units provided shelters for 12,000 individuals.

Concurrently, the Kingdom is establishing 1,000 temporary housing units in three areas in Hatay province. The project will benefit 5,000 individuals.
