KSrelief Distributes 420 Shelter Bags in Sudan

The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 420 shelter bags to the most needy and displaced families in Sudan, benefiting 2,013 individuals. The aid is part of a project to provide urgent shelter aid to the Republic of Sudan for the year 2024.

This comes within the framework of a series of relief and humanitarian projects implemented by the Kingdom through its humanitarian arm, the King Salman Relief Centre to help the Sudanese people who are undergoing the humanitarian crisis.

Health Projects in Sudan

Two weeks ago, KSrelief inaugurated 3 health projects in Sudan, reported Saudi Press Agency.

The first project aims to provide an oxygen station for Al-Abyad Children’s Specialized Hospital. The station will generate and distribute oxygen, benefiting 25,000 individuals.

In addition, the second project seeks to support government hospitals affiliated with the Sudanese Ministry of Health with dialysis machines, benefiting 3,960 individuals.

Also, under the third project, medical equipment will be provided to children’s hospitals, with the aim of reducing deaths and filling the major shortage of medical equipment in Kassala Hospital and El-Obeid Hospital, benefiting 200,000 individuals directly and indirectly.

Moreover, these efforts come within the framework of a system of humanitarian and relief projects provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to assist countries in need and provide them with basic health services.

Two days ago, KSrelief distributed 500 bags of personal care supplies to the most needy and displaced families in the city of Kabushi, Sudan, benefiting 2,875 individuals.

Besides personal care kits, Saudi Arabia has been providing food packages to different areas in Sudan.

Furthermore, it distributed 1,075 food baskets to the most needy and displaced families in the River Nile State in Sudan, benefiting 6,682 individuals. This is part of the second phase of the project to support food security in Sudan.

Last month, it distributed 529 food baskets to the neediest and displaced families in Northern State, in the Republic of Sudan, benefiting 3,041 individuals.
