KSRelief inaugurates a medical camp for various surgeries in the Socotra Archipelago
KSRelief inaugurated the medical camp recently for various surgical operations in the Socotra archipelago, which will take place from December 12 to 8, 2022.
More than 4,000 cases are expected to be examined at the KSRelief camp, including operations to enlarge cataracts. Among the procedures is the implantation of lenses for those in need.
The camp will also perform 100 different surgeries for eye diseases, including glaucoma, the tear duct, and pediatric eye surgeries.
Brigadier General Saleh Ali Al-Soqtari, the deputy governor of Socotra, expressed his gratitude to the generous Saudi government for funding development and relief efforts in the governorate.
By implementing several vital projects that benefit the Yemeni people, KSRelief has recognized the importance of its role towards the people of the island and all Yemenis.
The deputy governor and the governor discussed the need for patients to travel beyond the local area and access specialized hospitals and clinics. This resulted in substantial financial losses.
This comes within the framework of the humanitarian and relief aid that the Kingdom provides through the center to countries and peoples in need in various countries of the world.
