KSrelief Distributes 850 Food Baskets in Sudan
King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) distributed 850 food baskets in the locality of El Matama in the state of River Nile in the Republic of Sudan, benefiting 4,845 individuals. This is part of the Kingdom’s humanitarian and relief efforts, reported Saudi Press Agency.

Food security is defined as the state of having reliable access to a sufficient quantity of affordable, nutritious food. Unfortunately, Sudan struggles with this issue due to a variety of factors.
One of the main reasons for Sudan’s food insecurity is its reliance on agriculture, which is highly vulnerable to climate change and environmental degradation. The country’s economy is largely dependent on agriculture, with over 80% of the population engaged in farming. However, erratic rainfall patterns, droughts, and desertification.
